Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Beatshop Labs ("we", "us") governing your use of the Breakfast macOS app (the "app") and the breakfast.buildwebsite (the "site"). By downloading, installing, or using Breakfast, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

Breakfast is beta software

Breakfast is in beta and under active development. It may change, break, or behave unexpectedly. Breakfast runs an autonomous coding agent that edits files, runs commands, and commits work in your repositories. You are responsible for supervising it, reviewing its output, and keeping backups. Do not point Breakfast at anything you can't afford to lose, and always review generated changes before you rely on them.

What you need to run it

Breakfast requires your own Claude subscription that includes Claude Code, plus a Mac running a supported version of macOS. Breakfast runs sessions under your Anthropic account, and your use of Claude Code is governed by Anthropic's terms. You are responsible for complying with those terms and for any usage on your account.

Licence to use Breakfast

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Breakfast on Macs you own or control, for your own development work — personal or commercial. You may not:

• resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the app;
• share, resell, or circumvent Pro license keys, or use a key you didn't purchase;
• reverse engineer or attempt to extract source beyond what applicable law expressly permits; or
• use Breakfast to violate the law, third-party rights, or Anthropic's terms.

Your work is yours

You retain all rights to your code, repositories, and anything the agent produces for you. We claim no ownership of your projects. Beatshop Labs retains all rights in the Breakfast app itself, its name, and its branding.

Purchases, pricing, and licences

When paid sales open, Breakfast Pro will be sold through Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. That means Gumroad processes your payment, issues your receipt and license key, and handles applicable taxes. Your purchase is also subject to Gumroad's terms.

• A Pro purchase grants a license to the person or organisation that bought it. Don't share keys.
• Prices may change over time, but a change never affects a purchase you've already made.
• Where a purchase is described as "lifetime", that means for the supported life of the Breakfast product, not a guarantee of perpetual future development.

Refunds

We want you to be happy with Breakfast. If it isn't working out, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Because Gumroad is the merchant of record, refunds are processed through Gumroad — request one from your Gumroad receipt, or email support@breakfast.build and we'll help. Refunds outside that window are at our discretion, except where a longer period is required by law (for example, certain statutory rights for consumers).

Third-party services

Breakfast depends on services we don't control — notably Claude Code and Anthropic's models, and Gumroad for payments. We're not responsible for those services' availability, output, changes, or pricing. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

Breakfast is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. An autonomous agent can produce incorrect, incomplete, or unintended changes. We do not warrant that Breakfast will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its output will meet your requirements. You are responsible for reviewing all work before merging, deploying, or shipping it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beatshop Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, code, profits, or business, arising from your use of Breakfast. Our total liability for any claim relating to Breakfast will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim (which, during the free beta, is zero). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using Breakfast at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Breakfast evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use Breakfast after a change means you accept the updated terms.
